The
first part of this level is pretty basic. Just walk deeper into Statue
Park, shooting guards as you go. Eventually, you'll come to a statue that
looks like a bunch of upside-down V's. Next to this statue should be a
large red shipping crate, Inside the crate is Valentin. Talk with him,
and he'll tell you Janus, head of the Janus crime syndicate, will meet
him at the Lenin's statue. Head left out of the shipping crate, and you'll
find and bunch of statues creating something almost like a maze. Find you
way to the end of the maze, and the large statue of Lenin at the top of
a small hill. Walk up and touch the statue, then turn around. You'll see
men dressed in black, armed with shotguns walking towards you. Put you
gun away. In the middle stands Janus. No....it couldn't be. It's not possible.
Janus turns out to be none other than Alec Trevelyan, the comrade Bond
thought he has lost nine years ago. Trevelyan has stolen the Goldeneye
satellite. He also tells you he has kidnapped Natalya! When Janus runs
off, hide behind the Lenin's statue and kill the men with the shotguns.
You must race back to the park gates and rescue Natalya before the helicopter
explodes! You have 3 minutes, but that is plenty of time. Be careful not
to get hit by the shotgun guys too many times, those shotguns are very
powerful. When you reach the beginning of statue park, you'll see Natalya
lying next to the helicopter. Wake her, and lead her away from the helicopter.
After the helicopter explodes, you must find the flight recorder. It'll
be somewhere in the first maze if statues. Watch out for shotgun guys!
After you find it, head towards the gates. What's this....? Defense Minister
Mishkin is here, and he wants to ask you and Natalya some questions. Ouromov
has framed you! There's nothing you can do, but exit the park gates, and
head to the Military Archives.
